The new Cité Administrative de Lille was built on Boulevard de Strasbourg, between Porte des Postes and Porte d'Arras, an impressive complex consisting of five office buildings connected by internal streets and paths in the center of the French city. Thanks to this project, it was possible to bring together in one place different administrative services that were, until 2023, scattered in different areas of the city. The impact on worker employment has also been significant: the new buildings house about twice as many civil servants as the previous headquarters.
The project, designed by Valode & Pistre and Coldefy, was characterized by a particular use of continuous facades of different designs that make buildings unique in their kind thanks to the presence of different glass colors and characteristic aluminum coatings. Gualini was responsible for the design, production and installation of windows, curtain walls, cladding and sunshades, contributing once again to the very high quality of the project, whose total value amounts to about 150 million euros.
