The Bridge - urban office campus

The project is located in the center of the city of Milan and near the Teatro Dal Verme. The works consist of the redevelopment of a real estate complex consisting of two buildings: the first designed in the 1950s by the architects Magnaghi and Terzaghi and which overlooks Via San Giovanni sul Muro; the second dating back to the 70s and which overlooks Via Porlezza 12.

The intervention of the first building consists in replacing the existing aluminum windows with new ones made of steel profiles in order to ensure the maintenance of the original façade and the improvement of performance.

The works on Via Porlezza 12, on the other hand, consist of the creation of a double glass skin for the facades exposed to the inner courtyard and a single glazed skin for the façade that overlooks Vicolo San Giovanni sul Muro. The double skin guarantees excellent bioclimatic comfort of the rooms, ensuring heating in winter and cooling in summer. The structure of the system is made of steel cables suspended and fixed to a beam placed on the roof.
