Timna Ramon International Airport is an international airport located in the Timna Valley, in southern Israel. It replaces the old Eilat airport, located in the center of the city, and acts as a support for Israel's main airport, Ben Gurion.
The airport is located 18 km north of Eilat. It has a runway that is 3,600 meters long, longer than that of the previous airport. The move from the center is part of a larger development plan for the city of Eilat, and is necessary for the further construction of new hotels along the coast and therefore for its total tourist development.
